Jr Freeski Event #2, Alpine Meadows, February 25-26th, 2012
This event has been canceled effective 2/23/12. Please read the below response from Head Coach Jason Dobbs.

Dear Freeski Competitors,
It is with regret that we had to cancel this weekend's competition. We are hoping to find a rescheduling opportunity, but that is the next step, for now I wanted to inform you of the immediate cancelation.

We made our decision out of concern for safety, and I'm sure the families of those athletes who joined yesterday's inspection team will understand our call to deem conditions unsafe to have the competitive atmosphere and pressure of a freeskiing event. It was straight-up nasty and un-edgeable out there, and the next few days' weather don't provide much optimism. Obviously, this season has presented us challenges, and we do our best to work with them. Some responsive thoughts might be that we could find alternate venues. I assure you that we, the competition jury have considered all options, and we would have to compromise too much to pull off an event this weekend. Indeed, you will all be issued refunds (checks have not been cashed) or you may apply this fee toward a future TJFS event.

Meanwhile, we will continue our Ski/Skate week training per usual, and will look forward to seeing all of you on the mountain.

Thanks for your Understanding,

JASON

ATTENTION BAY AREA TEAM MEMBERS! DO NOT MISS THIS!
If you're from San Francisco, you have to go to the House Of Air, a trampoline center in the heart of San Francisco and one of the coolest places you will ever see. Train aerials on some of the best tramps around or play dodge ball on a field of mini tramps!

Trampoline Training with Jonny Moseley!
Jonny Moseley, Olympic gold medalist and Squaw Freestyle Team Alumni, has offered to volunteer his time to coach Squaw Freestyle Team members this fall/winter at the House of Air. WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK to decide what day we can all meet.  Email Jimeel to express your availability to attend.  Moseley is dedicated to fostering talent on our team and this is a tremendous opportunity for our team members!
